SATAN! Col-Erase pencils went from heaven to hell

So I bought several packs of splendid blue and red col-erase pencils back in 2003. Well I finally ran out this year. I spend 30 dollars buying more packs a few days ago. Sure, the brand name switched from stanford to prismacolor...but it should be the same beautiful pencil right?

WRONG!

This is the pointy object satan now uses to penetrate happy whores hopeless eye sockets. I mean come on! What kind of idiot sleeps around with such a beautiful thing to make these sub par, waxy pencil babies. It's sick! The color is way off, the quality is way more grainy and it doesn't erase nearly as good. They are now glorified scripture markers I can buy for 30 cents at christian store. DA!

What do you people use? Do you have a different pencil you use for sketching/construction lines? I use to.

Hopefully someone out there has good advice. For now, I'll suffer.

Glad to hear from you! I start Monday. I'm only taking 14 credits, 5 classes. All art related which should make it fun...but could be more work. We'll see how many demand sketchbooks! @_@

So less than last fall, but I'm going to try and work a bit more this time around. May move next week, bought a short sell condo in pleasant grove. It's been exciting and stressful. Sure you can relate. ^_^

14 credits doesn't sound too bad. So how were the first two days so far? I already switched a class (drawing II) for sculpture I. I just don't think I have the time to do 50 full sketches on top of the work in class and projects outside of class. So you bought a condo? How much did that cost you? Did you get a good deal on it?

Hey! Yeah, I keep forgetting to pick that thing up. @_@ We couldn't pick it up until after the semester grades were posted.

Are you taking some art classes right now?

The Y is good...and crazy. I'm taking one animation class that is blowing my mind. I went to bed at 1am and woke up at 3:00 am so I can work on a project. I guess this is the first time they have offered the class in the summer and there just isn't enough time for anything.

Cool. I remember you saying you were voluntarily killing yourself with a ton of credits. Figure drawing treating you okay? It's hard stuff.
